ByteBloc
Software, LLC, was founded over 18 years ago by an emergency
physician to help other emergency physicians with their scheduling
problems. Since that time, ByteBloc has adapted EPSKED to hundreds
of very different emergency physician schedules. EPSKED has been
purchased by users in all 50 states in the United States and several
foreign countries. Version 1.0 of EPSKED was released in 1989.
Version 2.0 of
EPSKED was top-rated in ACEP's Section of Computers in Emergency
Medicine most recent review of physician scheduling software in
1993.
Expanding
further on the features in previous versions of EPSKED, Version 3.0
was released in 1995.
The first
fully Windows compatible version of EPSKED, Version 4.0, was
released in 2001, adding fax and email capability as well as
extensive printing options.
EPSKED version 4.1 was released at the
end of 2003. This advanced program allowed export of schedules to
nearly all handheld Personal Information Managers, emailing of
schedules as Adobe Acrobat compatible files (in addition to HTML and
TIFF files), and the ability to print larger schedules as separately
printed sites schedules or as a global schedule printed on multiple
pages.
In 2006 we will be releasing two new programs:
-
EPSKED version 5 has the
ability to create and export payroll reports, track
split shifts, and interface with WebSked, and
-
WebSked allows providers
to enter their requests on-line, with the requests then
downloaded into EPSKED. EPSKED creates the schedule, then
uploads the finished schedule back to WebSked. Providers
can see who is available for shifts, swap shifts,
confirm hours, and maintain an accurate schedule, all on
the web site. At the end of the month, the schedule can
be downloaded back into EPSKED for export to payroll.
WebSked will simplify the initial scheduling, schedule
maintenance, and payroll tasks
