DOWNLOAD A FREE COPY OF EPSKED 5

EPSKED, the emergency physician scheduling
program, can be downloaded and installed directly on your computer. The
version of EPSKED you receive is a free, date-limited trial version that
allows you full access to all functions of the normal program except
that it will only produce schedules starting during a two month period. If
you download and install EPSKED on another computer and use it with a
database from a licensed version of EPSKED, EPSKED will run in its EPSKED
Assist mode, allowing you full access to all of EPSKED features except the
creation of new schedules.

all functions of the normal program except that it will only
produce schedules starting during a two month period.
By default, the two month trial
period is preset to allow creation of schedules starting in January
and February of 2006, but can be set to any month you desire via
email from ByteBloc.
Simply
contact us now with a request
for a "trial date password". Please specify the month in which the next schedule you want to
create will start.
You will receive a via return email:

read the electronic copy of the

users' manual which is also included with the downloaded version
of EPSKED. The manual can be viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat (see below).
-
Within two business days:
A password for setting the trial date to the requested month and the
month following that month.
While waiting for this
information you can still use EPSKED,
since all configuration information you enter will be unchanged by the new
trial date, and you can still create sample schedules starting during the
January through February time period.
We strongly suggest you
review the information about
how EPSKED works,
which contains an overview of EPSKED configuration and scheduling
(the EPSKED Customizer and Scheduler programs), before
attempting to use EPSKED. |

The
instructions that follow are for Windows 95/98/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP/Vista operating

sample screens shown, but the steps should similar. EPSKED 5 will not run on DOS based
computers, Windows 3.1 or earlier, Windows for Workgroups, or Windows NT
3.5. EPSKED will run on MacIntosh computers that have PC cards or software
allowing 32 bit PC emulation and use the acceptable Windows operating
systems. (Most recent versions will work.)
Be sure to
read the end user license agreement (EULA)
for EPSKED. By downloading
the file you
indicate that you accept the terms in the EULA.

The time required to
download EPSKED will depend upon the speed of your Internet connection --
download times will vary from much less than a minute (T1 connection) to a
little over an hour (28.8 modem).
-
Important
note:
If you have previously installed EPSKED 5 and it is running
successfully, you can automatically check for free maintenance
updates from within EPSKED. The update requires a considerably
smaller download than the full installation program. From the Help dropdown menu of the scheduling Main Menu, select the Free EPSKED
Update...Automatic update (preferred!) option and follow the
instructions to update directly from the EPSKED program. If your system
has any problems doing this, you can instead download an update
installation program which will perform a similar function. First, check
your current EPSKED version (shown at the top left of most EPSKED program
screens). If your current version number is lower than the
latest version
shown above,
install the EPSKED 5 Update installation program.
The time required to download the EPSKED
update will depend upon the speed of your Internet connection -- download
times will vary from a few seconds (T1 connection) to about 15 minutes
(28.8 modem.)
-
An
electronic copy of the Using EPSKED 5 users manual is included
with the downloaded
version of EPSKED. It can be viewed by clicking on the
Help...Using EPSKED 5 manual dropdown menu available at the top
of any of EPSKED's screens. To use the manual you well
need to be able to
view Adobe Acrobat files, which requires that you have the
Adobe
Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. The Adobe Acrobat
Reader is a common means of electronically transferring documents, and
will be a useful addition to your computer programs.

If you have problems downloading
EPSKED 5, try these suggestions:
-
Try
downloading the file again.
-
Try
downloading the file at an off-peak time. There may be heavy traffic on
the server or the Internet which interferes with downloading the file.
Access is more reliable at a less busy time, such as early in the morning
or late at night (like when you get home from a swing shift.)
-
If
downloading still doesn't work, report it to
support@bytebloc.com. Please indicate the date, time of day you tried
to download the file and the error message you received.
-
We
can mail the EPSKED to you on a disk if you are unable to download
it from the Internet. Call ByteBloc at 1.760.510.9900, fax to 1.760.690.4041, use the
Internet order form or email a request to
service@bytebloc.com. Important: Sending the program by mail represents a significant cost to us, and we want to be sure
it is sent to persons who can really use it. If the trial version is sent
to your home address, you must indicate the name and telephone number of
the hospital or clinic at which the program will be used.
If you
have trouble running the installation file:
-
Missing DLL files
If you encounter a missing DLL file error, we recommend you download the
and again run the full installation file. The full installation file contains all
necessary DLL files for EPSKED to run correctly. If the problem persists,
please let us know by reporting the problem to
support@bytebloc.com.
-
Fatal Exception errors during installation Fatal Exception errors can occur if you are running the installation
while other applications are running. Please shut down all open Windows applications but leave the Internet connection open.
